New Delhi, July 5: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has formally approached the Ayodhya police, urging them to scrutinize claims made by prominent opposition figures concerning alleged donation theft at the Ram temple. This request follows statements from several leaders, including Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, who have raised concerns about the management of funds at the temple.

In a letter dated July 4, addressed to Ayodhya Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Tiwari, the VHP has requested that these political leaders be summoned to provide evidence supporting their allegations. The organization, known for its strong advocacy of Hindu causes, expressed that if the claims are unfounded, appropriate action should be taken against those responsible for disseminating what they termed as 'wild allegations.'

The VHP's letter emphasized the need for accountability, stating that such accusations could foster a climate of 'hatred, ill will, and enmity.' They expressed concern that these politically motivated claims could undermine the ongoing efforts to promote peace and unity among communities.

In response to the VHP's call, a spokesperson for the Ayodhya police confirmed that they would review the letter and consider the necessary steps. "We will ensure a thorough examination of the allegations to uphold the integrity of the temple's operations and address any public concerns," the spokesperson stated.

This incident adds to the ongoing political discourse surrounding the management of donations for the Ram temple, a project that has garnered immense attention and support from various quarters. The temple, which is being built at a site of significant religious and historical importance, has seen generous contributions from devotees across the country.

As the situation unfolds, the VHP remains firm in its stance that any baseless claims should not go unchecked, stressing the importance of safeguarding the temple's reputation. The organization also reiterated its commitment to transparency and accountability in the handling of donations.
