The victim, identified as Shashi Rahul Chakra, reportedly succumbed to her injuries after coming into contact with a live wire on the night of July 1, amidst torrential rain.

The incident occurred in Kacheri village, Dombivili, where Chakra had stepped out to procure goods for her local shop. Eyewitnesses explained that as she attempted to return home, she tripped and fell near an electricity transformer situated dangerously close to a public toilet.

According to local police reports, passersby rushed to assist Chakra and quickly transported her to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite their prompt action, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
