Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh - In a significant move for rural development, Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, announced the release of the first instalment amounting to Rs 25,863 crore under the Viksit Bharat G-RAM-G Yojana on July 5. The announcement was made during a video conference from Bhopal, where Chouhan emphasized the importance of the initiative for enhancing rural infrastructure.

The 'Mother Sanction' scheme aims to facilitate comprehensive development in rural areas across India. Chouhan expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the scheme, stating, "Today I am overjoyed and pleased to congratulate all of you, our Rural Development Ministry officials and state representatives, for your commitment to implementing this crucial initiative."

During the conference, the Minister highlighted that the funds will be allocated to all states in the country, ensuring that rural regions receive the necessary support for development projects. He noted that the Viksit Bharat G-RAM-G Yojana has successfully evolved from its predecessor, reinforcing the government's commitment to improving the quality of life in rural India.

Chouhan also called upon state governments to utilize the released funds effectively, stressing that timely implementation of projects is vital for achieving the program’s objectives. "We expect each state to put forward their best efforts in utilizing these resources to foster sustainable growth in rural areas," he added.

The release of this substantial fund is expected to bolster various development projects, including infrastructure, sanitation, and agricultural enhancements, which are crucial for rural economies. The initiative reflects the government's focus on achieving a developed and prosperous Bharat.
