Giri's remarks were made just a day ahead of a crucial meeting of the Trust, marking the first gathering since the controversy surrounding the donation process surfaced. In a signed letter, he clarified that the responsibility for overseeing the counting of donations rests with the local trustees. "The local trustees oversee the donation counting process," Giri stated, attempting to shift the focus from his role in the matter.

Addressing the integrity of financial management, Giri emphasized that all audit reports related to the Ram Mandir are “safe.” This reassurance aims to alleviate fears that have arisen in the wake of allegations regarding mismanagement and discrepancies in the temple's fundraising activities.
