In a highly anticipated visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Rajasthan today to unveil a series of pivotal infrastructure projects aimed at bolstering the state's development. The visit includes the inauguration of a state-of-the-art airport terminal in Jodhpur, constructed at a cost of Rs 480 crore, designed to accommodate up to 20 lakh passengers annually.

The new terminal is expected to significantly enhance air travel facilities in the region, thereby improving connectivity for both residents and tourists. Modi stated, "This terminal not only represents a leap in our infrastructure capabilities but also a commitment to boosting regional development and tourism in Rajasthan."

Following the Jodhpur inauguration, the Prime Minister will travel to Balotra, where he is set to dedicate India's first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex located at Pachpadra. This complex is a landmark initiative that promises to transform the energy landscape in the region, with an investment of approximately Rs 1.06 lakh crore.

During his address, Modi emphasized the importance of sustainable development, stating, "This integrated facility will not only fulfill our energy needs but also reinforce our commitment to green growth and environmental sustainability." The new refinery is expected to create thousands of jobs and stimulate local economies.

In addition to these major projects, PM Modi will launch the Modified UDAN Scheme, which aims to enhance regional air connectivity across the country. This initiative is expected to make air travel more accessible for the general populace, particularly in under-served areas.

The Prime Minister's visit comes at a time when the government is keen on showcasing its commitment to infrastructural progress and economic revitalization in the post-pandemic era. With these initiatives, the administration seeks to position Rajasthan as a hub of development and growth.
