Raipur (Chhattisgarh) — Teejan Bai, the revered Padma Vibhushan awardee and celebrated exponent of Pandavani, has passed away at the age of 72 in Raipur. Her death, which occurred early on Sunday morning, marks a significant loss for the cultural landscape of Chhattisgarh and India at large.

Bai had been receiving treatment at AIIMS Raipur for several weeks due to ongoing health issues. Reports indicate that her condition deteriorated around 3:15 a.m., leading to her untimely demise. The news was confirmed by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, who expressed profound sadness over her passing.
