PAHALGAM, July 5: In a proactive approach to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conducted a thorough review of arrangements at Nunwan Base Camp for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. The annual pilgrimage attracts thousands of devotees each year, and Sinha's visit underscores the administration's commitment to facilitating a smooth experience for all attendees.

During his visit, Sinha convened a high-level meeting with senior officials from civil, police, and pilgrimage management departments. The focus of the discussion revolved around crucial logistical elements, including the transportation of pilgrims, security protocols, and accommodation arrangements.

Sinha emphasized the importance of effective coordination among various departments to manage the influx of pilgrims. He stated, “It is our duty to ensure that every devotee has a safe and hassle-free experience while participating in this holy Yatra. All necessary arrangements must be in place well in advance.”

Critical areas reviewed included the ongoing registration status of pilgrims, medical services availability, and transportation facilities. Officials were directed to ensure that medical teams are adequately stationed at strategic points to provide immediate assistance if required.

The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted the need for robust security measures, given the high profile of the event. He urged the police and security agencies to implement effective crowd management strategies to prevent any untoward incidents during the Yatra.

As part of the preparations, Sinha directed that clear signage and information kiosks be established at the base camp to assist pilgrims in navigating the area. He also called for regular updates to be shared with the public about safety protocols and health guidelines, especially concerning the ongoing health concerns.

With these extensive arrangements underway, the administration aims to uphold the spiritual sanctity of the Amarnath Yatra while ensuring that every possible precaution is taken for the safety of all participants.
